Mall Of America.......again!

Saturday, February 26, 2011

The other day a friend called me and said she had 5 unlimited ride wrist bands she was going to give away and did I want them? Of course! (Thanks Shannon!) Heidi and I had plans to take the kids to House of Bounce in Rochester but decided why not go to the mall for free! It worked out perfect, 5 kids, 5 free wristbands.

We got there a little after it opened since I was still pretty groggy from the night before. But we headed straight for the rides. The kids had fun, the lines got long once again and eventually the kids were sick of it. So we took a break and had lunch, Tatumn and Desi walked the American Girl store. I can't go in there, I want to buy everything, it's terrible.

The other 3 little ones got to meet a few backyardigans and enjoyed it ;) I think we are over the stage of being scared of larger than life characters that typically fit in our tvs and now hover above us! We got some pics and moved on.

As we stood in line, Heidi and I both agreed that wouldn't a movie be nice? ha, yes sit down, relax, no more lines or dragging kids along. So we didn't tell the kids, but Gnomio and Juliet was playing there in 3D. We told them we had to hurry and ran up there as fast as we could, we had 10 minutes. We got up there and they were so excited (Tots had already seen it, but wanted to watch it again).

It was our first experience with 3D. It was not all that impressive if I do say so myself. But it was fun. The 3 younger kids watched the majority of the movie without glasses, which they basically watched a blurry movie then. Oh well.

We finally left the mall, we didn't get home until almost 7. It was a long day, but the kids had fun. Laci even got a new Princess gown to wear in Disney next week. Lucky girl!

I however think I will take a little break from places with large crowds.

Riding the escalator sure is fun, once you get the hang of it ;)

Ignore the jumbo sized Mt. Dew, that was mine ;)
