Fling before the Ring

Friday, February 25, 2011

Tonight was Karisa's bachelorette party. They had it out at the casino. It was tropical themed, but due to slight weight gainage I was unable to dress appropriately. ;) I did however make it in time to fill my face with some dinner with the rest of the girls.

After dinner, games & gift opening we headed down to the Parlay Lounge to enjoy a band called the Stimulus Package. They were wonderful. More country but sang a variety of songs.

One of my favorite things to do is people watch, I'm not mean, I just think dance floors, intoxicated people & my camera are a great combo. But anyhow, we watched a young man whip out his Michael Jackson moves that I'm pretty sure he's still practicing in his bedroom in his parent's basement. Good lord! Then, if you have seen the movie "It's Pat", you know what I'm talking about when I say one of the girls danced with......Pat. Yikes! It was a scary sight.

To top off our night, an odd man by the name of Vincent approached the bride with a free drink coupon. He told us that he "worked" for the casino and they comped him that drink, really, 1 drink?? He refused to be in pictures, trust me I was trying ;) He had some marital advice for Karisa that she did not want to hear. Here they are:

1. Remember you are a different person, you don't share your social security number.....ummmm....yeah.

2. Have your own checking account. (If I made the money in this house, that wouldn't be a bad idea ;)

3. Have your own bathroom.

yup, those 3 things right there are his saving grace to keeping a marriage alive. Oh, Vincent, if only it were that simple. But thanks dude for the free drink coupon.

Finally, at about 2:30 a.m. after sitting at slot machine and not winning, waiting for a ride, we headed home. We made a pit stop through McDonald's and I don't think the girl working cared for our belligerent comments, but excuse me, you don't serve cheeseburgers, what the heck. What is this place? Oh good times I tell you!

We all had a blast and made it home safely....and with chicken nuggets ;)

Karisa Enjoying her gifts!
